Small Cow mooing under rear clam

I was in the garage last night tinkering as you do, when I heard the Noble (turned off and locked) make a sound like a small cow moo(single moo, like one of those toys you could turn over), I thought I was hearing things then about 15 mins later it did the same thing again, then did'nt hear it again, got dark and spooky so give up trying to find out what it was.

Best guess, it sounded a bit like the fuel pump priming briefly.

Any other ideas ?

That would be more like a Hoot than a Moo, and not only that who would think that an owl would want to live in a Noble engine bay, everybody knows its only Cows and Orangutans can survive there. :-)

When I was in Amsterdam with my noble I heard it making cockral noises... I heard it more than once and actually thought there was a bird trapped in the tunnel, had me concerned.

I then found out that my sat nav made cockral noises when it was running out of power

I think it's from the fuel tank breather system.

Probably the other way round as the fuel/vapour would have been contracting as it got cold and spooky

Mine used to do it all the time. Always thought it was odd. Don't think its anything like above. I'm sure it's electrical?

Tux, no vacuum on tank/cap, as I say best guess was like the fuel pump priming for a very short period.

Node, No you would of known if it was me I would have stopped and put it under the rear clam.

Did you photoshop that? that is class

its your header tank venting under pressure. its just releasing pressure under the cap which has a loading pressure spring.
