National Renaultsport Meeting 17th April 2011 - some pics
Discussion
Hi there,
Had a great day at Gaydon yesterday for the National Renaultsport meeting. Was an early start as I met up with 6 other Clio owners at Leicester Forest East at 8.30am. Then we convoyed to Warwick services to meet up with about 4000 Stoke and Bolton fans and about 30 other Renaultsports.
Spent some time chatting to Oirish Kev and admiring his R26R
and got the chance to have a nosey at the two cars I am aiming to buy one day soon, a Renault Sport Spider, and a Mk2 V6 255.
Here are some pics: -
Part of Renault's own display Clio Williams No. 0001

Thats what I'm talking about V6 255 in Liquid Yellow

'Primer' Grey Clio 200

The gorgeous Spider ( I want Yellow though )

Line of Clio 197's

Line of Clio 200's

Inside line - one way

and the other way

Rare Alien Green 200 - only one on show

Suprisingly only one Clio Trophy showed up

Stunning Grey V6

and a Black one - not so sure about the cream leather though

Classic Renault GTA

and 2 very rare GTA Le Mans - gorgeous

Very nice Liquid Yellow Clio 197 F1

and a nicely lowered Blue 197

My car and its twin (mines on the right)

Very nice metallic red V6

and another Blue Spider

Loads of Twingo's, but this was a nice colour

another classic Alpine A610

Great looking Avantime

V6 in full Trophy livery

Two Megane R26R's, there were five on show in all

The Maxi owners club were on the other side of the museum

and this gorgeous Mini GP was in the car park

Hope you like the pics.
Also this is not my pic, but an awesome shot of the event, have a look at this at hi-res: -

We're thinking about getting a 200 (probably in either blue or white) but this looks completely different. Anyone know how rare they are?
Great pics btw, it always seems to be sunny at Gaydon.

Storm Grey in my opinion is superb, especially in the bright sunlight. By looking at the colour on the Renault colour chart it looks dull but in the flesh it's great and it really shows off the lines and curves of the car especially with the black Speedlines and possibly black roof. Rare too, Only ever seen one other on the road. We're thinking about getting a 200 (probably in either blue or white) but this looks completely different. Anyone know how rare they are?

I spose chances of picking up a decent spec 2nd hand one this earlier are pretty slim I would have thought. Really dont want to be buying brand new..

I saw a Storm Grey 200 recently, I wasn't too impressed unfortunately. From photos I thought it would look quite good but its very flat. It wasn't a bright day but I don't think it did the car any favours at all. I'm a big fan of Racing Blue for obvious reasons but I also like Alien Green a lot. RB was a no cost option though so that made it an easier decision
