I have placed a wanted add in the correct place before anybody says so! If anybody knows of a decent, unmolested 348 (ideally TS), please put them in touch! Seems to be a serious lack of (good) 348's for sale at the moment!

Cheers

  • Ok, so I have made an obvious typo in the title..Anybody know how I can change this to hide my shameful mistake?!..

you've admitted it, so take it on the chin wink I still love the cheesgrater 348s too, but not great cars IMO. Which model you after? I particularly like the ts on the 348s. Is an early 355 a better option, or do you just love the 348?

Ideally looking for a targa model, not really keen on the spider as I think it takes too much of the shape away. I have considered a 355, but I think my budget dictates it a bit. I think it's the difference between getting a well sorted 348 or a doggy 355. I do like the shape of the 348, for me it's classic supercar styling, but obviously if somebody wants to sell me their 355 at a steal, I really don't mind...!

My 355 is the cheapest on the market and there is nothing "doggy" about it thank you very much!

The price is dictated (sadly) by the mileage but it means someone will get a very sorted car at the money, IMO of course (accepts some possible biased)! biggrin

Don't remember specifically calling your car doggy...But if it's cosmetically and mechanically A1 then it's a cheap car! My point being i'd rather buy a 348 that is at the standard I want than a 355 that is cheap but requires money spent to bring it to the standard i'm looking for and happy with, in that case I should just increase my budget and spend more on a car that requires nothing. I equally like both cars so the pull of a 355 over a 348 doesn't cut it enough. I will no doubt progress through the range at some point!

You didn't, it was just the implication that if it's at the cheap end it makes it doggy and mine's the cheapest (and best value of course IMO) out there.

Happy hunting and if you decide you'd like a yellow 355, get in touch. thumbup

Having just sold my 48000 mile 348 tb I would have no issues buying a higher mileage Ferrari. If my wife had not given birth to my daughter 3 weeks ago your yellow car or my mate 58k car up at £34850 would be next on the list.

Unfortunately prices can be dictated by mileage but in my experience the higher mileage cars have had more work done and parts replaced so in some respects are better.

Agreed. No issues with mileage at all if the car is right. I've owned both ends of the scale, high and low milers, really depends on how they are maintained. 50/60k seems to be high in the Ferrari world, which is a bit of a culture shock to me..

I am in the process of putting my TS up for sale at the moment. Drafted the ad last night and was going to finish it off tonight.

It's a fantastic example, but does get used now and again, so has 59k on the clock. It is true when they say that they are better used though. I went on a 3000 mile european trip to Maranello in it last summer and it never missed a beat.

The thought of selling it really does make me feel sad, but it's gotta go unfortunately.

Perhaps you can send me a pm/email if your interested.

Hi! I'm poss thinking for selling my 348ts it is LHD I've owned it since April 2002 and she has been great! I don't want to sell her really, but looking to buy a 360 and have no space and can't drive both at the same time. She has done 50000klm
And had the belts done last may! She is in lovely condition and is really worth a look. It took me a long time to find this one and very nearly gave up but got lucky. If you would like to see her I could run her down your way, Or call me on 07778058069 and I'll be happy to help you with any questions you have.
