What is this thing?
Discussion
I arrived back at my university halls of residence a couple of days ago to find a new appliance in the kitchen.
I can't for the life of me figure out what it is, and neither can my flatmates! I assume either a) the cleaners put it here, or b) it belongs to our new, antisocial Indian flat mate.
None of the other kitchens have one, and I really want to throw something in, press "cook", and see what happens.

Looks a bit out of place next to the kettle, toaster, and microwave as it seems to work, and it reasonably new.

It will belong to your Indian housemate and will be used to cook/reheat curries, which could be good if you like curry and can get him/her to share!vetrof said:

Looks like its a rice cookerhttp://www.yourexcessbaggage.com/detail.php?pid=4&...
Definitely a slow cooker and if you are on a budget and concious about not eating ready meals or takeaways then you will find they can be dam useful for, soups, stews, curries etc. Just bung all the ingredients in there together in a morning and come back 6hrs later to a cracking meal.
