I have managed to damage one of the rear wheels on my can am after some helpful public spirited t-at left a brick in the middle of the road!

I have put a small kink in the outside rim (they are 3 piece split rims but not Ultimas design) the wheel manufacturer is no more, so I cannot get a new outside rim, does anybody know a good wheel refurb company preferably local to the factory in Hinckley that might be able to help? the damage to the rim looks minor so in my opinion should be fixable.

Thanks for your help in advance

Try www.wheelrefurbishing.com/services.htm. They did a polish job for me but I think they can do a lot more.

Hi Mark, try www.wicked-wheels.co.uk/index.shtml . A friend used these when he ran his car along the kerb, said they were very good but i cant remeber the price. They have operatives all over the country. Head office is in Harlow i think, maybe not to far from you. regards Dave

Mark,

I have used Image Wheels in Birmingham www.imagewheels.co.uk. They replaced an outside rim on my Sport, after a similar problem to yours (rim dented beyond repair). They were very helpful and didn't seem to be expensive.

Thanks for the response, can am Phil, thanks for the link, I have spoken to these guys already, prob is they wont touch 3 piece wheels.

DHGTR, called wicked wheels, I think they are more geared up to deal with refinishing one piece wheels, and they are fully booked up for weeks at the mo.

TJB, I was told when I bought the car that the wheels were image design, thecar is with the factory having some work done so I asked them to post the wheels to image to refurb them. It turns out that although they look very similar to image wheels, they are not their product and therefore cannot help. The wheels were apparently made by a company called "Speed and Design" they are no more, and I am having real problems finding any parts for them.

The damage to the wheel is really very minor IMHO so I think the rim could be reapired easily and most importanly safely, but finding someone to do it is a nightmare!!

Found two German companies that offer wheel repair.
The sites are only in German but maybe they can help.
www.daradan-kfz.de
www.poliererei.de
