I've got 2 infuriating water leaks in my car. I've had the front screen removed and broken (thanks to RAC Windscreen for that) and then refitted new glass and seals. The leaks are still there. One at the front and one at the back.

I've read about this Ultrasonic device for finding where water leaks are located around windscreens but I can't find a windscreen replacement company in Scotland that has said technology.

Does anyone know of a Windscreen replacement business in Scotland that can do the Ultrasonic leak tests?

Are you just guessing at that or have you got experience of them using this ultrasonic kit. They pulled a blank when I asked the local guy.

Its an American product. It probably isn't for sale/ used over here.

This product is American, but there are companies over here that supply similar pieces of Kit. The technologu is simple. I just can't find any Windscreen companies that are using it yet!

There are some much easier tests (water/water+solution/compressed air) to detect leaks.

Have you managed to sort this?

I can recommend one or two guys up in Scotland; one in Edinburgh and the other in Inverness, both can help/advise.

I'd be interested in your Edinburgh contact if you can be bothered to send me the details.

I worked in a fairly small garage while I was at college 35 years ago and they had a radio leak detector then.

Maybe, like brake disc skimmers, pretty well all garage have them, but they're hardly ever used?
