rear undertray

After getting engine rebuilt i have left rear undertray off to check for leaks and stuff as you would.
If i left it off over summer would it improve cooling or would it cause car adverse handling problems.
Just a thought

In the real world at road speeds I can`t see it will any have effect on handling or down force. It might help a little with cooling - but it`ll allow your new clean engine bay to get dirty.....

Im going to leave off for a while and moniter temps while its off, then do the same with it on,

I have been running without it on a for a couple of months while i have been finalizing the rebuild, saves taking it on and off all the time.
I did not monitor engine bay temps, but i believe the underpan is to improve downforce, when in place it also offers aditional rigidity to the space frame in the form of a structural diaphragm.
, the engine bay did not get dirty due to dry use, but in wet use the engine bay would get a bit messy without the underpan.

Mine is currently off but I'm a bit concerned about air getting up over the rear diffuser and ripping it off, is this likely?
