Picked up my T350C today, absolutely thrilled with it.
A few questions,

The car feels quite twitchy over 100, is this normal? do i need to adjust to the car, or does the car need a geo to fettle it?

The car has a JP exhaust, sounds great. I've ordered some decats, does this make the car drone more or less, as ive found some cars actually resonate less with no cats. I appreciate there will be more noise.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow. smile

First thing to check is the tyre pressures - 24-25 PSI all round. No more. Geo next.

As for the exhaust, I suspect you're about to make it too loud ears

I'll do that, the car has had new tyres, so could well be pumped up too much.

Hmmmm, I'll give it a go! smile

Great car though, want an event to drive!

Precisely - an event to drive - this kind of thing will be illegal one day - enjoy it while you can!

Nice car, you'll enjoy it. The speed 6 turns you into a hooligan, around town I'm usually in 2nd gear with plenty of revs and then letting it pop and bang on the over run - normal exhaust but decat

The top from a milk carton should fit nicely as a temporary measure.

How loud is that out of interest (compared to standard?)

To be honest I don't have a great frame of reference, the other Tam I test drove had cats and a sports exhaust (don't know which one) and I haven't seen many others at close quarters. The other was perhaps a little louder but mine with the decats does do more of the popping on the over run.

It's never intrusive on long runs and whilst loud it's not obscenely so, the other half loves it

I have exactly the same set up: NTels decats and a JP back box and it sounds absolutely awesome. It is loud; very very loud, but I wouldn't let that put you off. It pops and bangs like a good un and howls when you hit the loud pedal! Only thing I would say is that if you live somewhere where your neighbours are in close proximity it can be loud when you start up on a morning and not everyone will appreciate a TVR morning call.

I have had a TVR Power decat chip fitted also, and I have to say it runs slighly better with the chip; less lumpy on tick over and a smoother drive all round.

Cheers. BB.

I would be interested in knowing how much the chip is and is it specifically for your car or is it a generic chip just for decatted cars

It's what is described as an EPROM Upgrade, either for a 3.6 ltr decat or 4.0 ltr decat. You need to specify when ordering as they are different I believe.

They are available from the TVR Power store. They charged me £88.13 incl VAT...plus £8.50 p&p.

Once installed you need to hook up to the diagnostic software and re-set the adaptive maps.

I hope this helps.

Cheers. BB.

Tyre pressures bang on, possibly new shocks required?
Its due a major service in a few weeks, so will get it addressed if need be.

the big surprise for me when i got my t350 was how stable the car feels at 100+, much more grounded then at 60mph, so i would definitely say something needs tweaking. i'd have a look round the shocks and check for leaks and do a bounce check, if after a basic inspection they seem ok get the geo done, if that doesn't sort it then the next step is shocks - i've just got some gaz golds and they're pretty great. congrats on the car by the way.

Thanks for that Ben. Yeah its not shockingly bad, just an observation. Just love this car, its great.
Out of interest, where are they from (Gaz Golds) and would you mind telling me how much.

PM me if you wish.
