Recommendations please - very best tyres, in peoples' opinions; car is used hard, including delimited runs on German m'ways, plus fun on the twisty bits. Thanks for your contributions.

Im in need of some new rears too, amazing how the prices have shot up.

Im on Conti Sports at the moment and they seem to offer good grip.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics for me.

I remember evo doing a tyre test a few years ago and they came out as the clear winner.

I run them on my 135 and they are brilliant in all weather (apart from the cold) and offer a very comfortable ride at the same time.

Ultracs for me as well all round.......I've been seriously impressed. Much better than P Zero Rossos and Goodyears......Potenza's are good too though but really hard to find these days.
If you've got the money though, it's got to be Michelin PS2/3's

ContiSport Contacts, PS2s or Eagle F1s are all decent.

Conti Sport Contact 3's are great on the E39. I'm certain Neil will attest. Think I paid about £680 for all 4, fitted.

The tyres are great on Autobahn or Alp.

So, thats good news. Right?
Yes.

Still need new head gaskets due to checking the old ones though...

What was causing the problem then?
Leak leading to airlock is the best fit theory.

PS2's

£210 (all inc) fitted round the corner from me

I was chuffed with that price considering some prices-

I love the (big chain) attitude-

"Could you tell me how much a PS2 is please"

Certainly, tap tap tap... £297 fitted!

WHAT!!!!

"So how much have you been quoted then?"

Well much nearer to £200

OK, £260 then....

Just give me the lowest price first- It'll save a load of grief...
