I'm looking at alternatives to replace my RAC cover since the price has rocketed this year.

Once that has flashed up is GEM Motoring Assist.

Does anyone have any experience of them? Any members?

I've never heard of them and the price is good but I'm more interested in the service they offer and the reputation they have.

Any thoughts anyone?

Have a look on Quidco. I got my AA membership for half price through there.

excellent.

I use them as i have three bikes and two cars.

They cover me plus the mrs on any vehicle.

I have the pay and reclaim service.

Used it just the once, when i blew a core plug on the one bike in the middle of south wales.

You can either ring them (which i did) and they arrange recovery or arrange it yourself.

You then pay for the recovery and send the invoice in.

Mine was £140 ish, posted the invoice on the Wed and had a cheque back on the Sat.

Quidco does £12.50 back on my package atm, but even without it (as an existing member) it's still good VFM @ £65

You also get a quarterly magazine (which is a bit BRAKEish for my liking)

Excellent service from them. And quick payment.
Another thing to consider is the free Legal Service they are now offering (which costs me £30 per year just for my bike).
They cover you for any vehicle you are driving.
