Thermostat guard - where to get one?

Not really the right answer, but they sell a tamper-proof version of that thermostat:

Given the price of plastic guards a tamper-proof stat might be cost-effective. But I cannot immediately see how that Honeywell stat is tamper-proof.http://www.plumbnation.co.uk/site/honeywell-t6360b...
The reason why is that we have some properties where we pay the energy bills and the tenants prefer the roomstats at 30 degrees, whereas we prefer them at 20.
Honeywell do a tamperproof model. Lookie here.
Looks just like their frost stat. The cover can be taken off with a screwdriver mind. Otherwise, you can't alter it.

Set the stat to 20 degrees, pull the knob off and trim the spindle back so it doesn't engage with anything.
Won't cost you a penny and occupants will still think they have control!
Sneaky. Though I am unsure whether the mechanism will allow it whilst still keeping the knob in place.Won't cost you a penny and occupants will still think they have control!

Perfect!
Not as perfect as being able to set the existing stat and fix it at that temperature! Some time back I worked in an office where the office girls were always turning the a/c thermostat up to 'deep fry', while walking around clad in very little (ok, this did have its advantages). Unfortunately all the guys in the office were then passing out due to heat stroke or sweating while sat at their desks; any change of the set temperature was immediately reverted by the girls. We finally got fed up enough to set it to 21c, then unscrew the controller from the wall, disconnect the control cabling, then screw it back up. A little bit of fiddling with the display modes later, and the end result was it was set to a constant 21c at the main unit and displayed whatever furnace like temperature was set to be the desired temp by the girls, but never showed the actual temperature. Kept everyone happy.
