Me and some other friends have a public track session booked at Spa in September but were looking for places to stay around the area that didnt cost the earth, but were in an ok location to go for a few beers in the evening.

So those that have been, where did you stay? Do you have any recommendations?

We've been looking at a few hotels in Spa itself, but dont mind traveling slightly further afield as long as theres a bar somewhere nearby.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do a search on bookings.com for the Spa area. I've stayed at Bungalow Park before, rooms a bit grim but cheap and has a nice bar and nice surrounding, perfect for a group on a budget.

I have stayed at the Radisson Blue Palace Hotel several times & again in June, super location in Spa, many Bars/Restaurants outside. Nice drive to track. I personally wouldn't stay anywhere else.

WHS ^^

Just came back yesterday.

Parking can be an arse but I just removed the two metal posts that lead onto the gravel area at the front and parked there.
No risk of some monkey opening a door onto your car either.

Really nice hotel that was quiet, clean, and comfortable.

Will deffo be going again.

Main Square Spa, Stayed in Raddisson Blu last may and next week when i go for the Renualt Sport track day we are staying in the Raddison Balmoral which is at the top of the hill. Both resonable in price plus you get to use there swimming facilites

Its got an excellent restaurant, the rooms were a bit tired but its just been refurbished and its not a bad price. The lift arrangement is a bit odd I must say. OK its no Radisson but its half the price and clean

Here:

Although it may seem biker oriented, all motorsport related people are welcome. Its a top place, run by a top bloke. We stay there every year when we go to the 'ring - we keep going back.

Beau Site in Hokai is cheap and cheerful. Food, beer and parking all good.

Second that, stayed last week on Melindi's advice for trailer parking and thought it was fine. Reminded me of the 'Allo 'Allo cafe a bit.

I've been 3 times and stayed at:

Radisson Palace 4* in the centre of spa parked just outside the hotel on the street (close to bars and restaurants)
Le fleures also in the centre of Spa - private parking through the arch off the street (close to bars and restaurants)
La Source hotel next to La Source corner - hotel 4* good private parking - brand new hotel with expected high quality rooms and reasonable 4* prices

Booked all these via hotels.com/expedia.com and chose the best priced deals.
