She must have put some effort in to find me cos she was way up the road when i drove past and changed her wheel, took me all of 10 mins and I was mucky from gardening anyway so was no problem for me.....

i few months ago i saw a woman with a young boy the car had a puncture (boot up, spare propped on car) so i slowed to a stop and lowered the window and asked if they needed help. she looked petrified, i felt like a rapist.

(she was nothing to look at either! and help was apparently on the way)

I can imagine to some people it is a daunting task, not to mention trying to undo wheel nuts put on with an air wrench set to 'manager' level.
I once bent a manufacturer issue wheel wrench standing on the bugger while trying to undo said nuts....

I had an amusing and touching incident a couple of years ago:

I was changing the wheels of my car over from winter to summer in the street by the house when one of the neighbours from a few hundred yards away walked past with her daughter and asked whether I needed a hand! Now that's role reversal.
