How long to fit coolant hoses ...

Hi guys,

I recently got a new set of (12) coolant pipes from ACT as part of the group buy - thanks Bondy & Tim.

I'm getting a local garage to fit them.

Any idea how long (in hours) it should take?
As mentioned, its the set of 12 for the engine bay and not the complete set.

Any thoughts much appreciated,

if its the same set that i got from act then some of them are for up front aswell. It didnt take me too long but my car was in pieces so access was good. i would have thought two or three hours should do it!

Full day for my guy, left with a few spares, straight lenghts(short) and a few bends????

I would say a full day is required to do it properly, took me two but I had the floor to remove for access to the tunnel for straight sections.

Took me absolute ages and I also had a metre length of 9.5 left over. I did also fit the new block - water pump & pump - thermostat housing hoses that aren't in any of the kits but are available now.
Worst parts were removing front floor and connecting onto heater matrix in tunnel.
I also went for a complete set of mikalor clamps instead of regular hose clips. My advice is DON'T!! they are absolute crap and don't clamp the hoses tight enough. I had virtually every single one leak so I replaced the lot. Cost about £70 too!!

Do you mean don't use regular hose clips or don't use mikalor?

I'm saying don't use the mikalor clamps. I have them on the boost hoses and they're fine but that may be due to the overall circumference of the hose or thickness of the silicon?
All I know is they don't work on the coolant hoses.
Glad I didn't replace the floor panels before MOT on Wednesday as I ended up just changing all 11 at the front end after finding another 3 weeping
