Okay, I'm all about ready to go really looking for my first Griff. I've got insurance quotes, I've got the money, I've got the want...

..I just haven't got the "drive" yet.

My budget means I'll be probably looking private, so I ideally want to have driven one or two beforehand so I know what it should feel like, and if I'm sat in a lemon.

So, can anyone recommend places in/around Yorkshire that would be good for a test drive or two? I've heard for example that Harrogate Horseless Carriages are very bad for test drives. Somewhere in Wigan has been mentioned as OK, anywhere else?

Cheers,

Sy

Gorners are the ones in Wigan, and yes, they are VERY helpful. You could also try Hillfoot in Sheffield, helpful people and they should be quite keen to move the purple Griff they've got!

Harrogate are fine - youve just got to give them some notice

Ive driven their Tuscan and 350C

There again you may be spotted as a time waster if you have no intentions to buy - they do read here!

Edited to add there is also John Waggit at Boroughbridge "Sports Car Compnay"

Yup - I got offered a test drive by John when I was looking. However, you should still go to Wigan (and take me with you) so I can finally get a go in a t350t.
Will have to be careful to get someone to hide my cheque book first though...
