How to check if a car is stolen

Anyone know an easy way? There is a Porsche Cayenne in the car park for my block of flats and has been there for a week or so. Parked in the far back corner and pretty dirty. Never seen it before and it's only a small block so just seems a bit strange to me.
Of course I don't want to spend money on an Hpi or anything.
Any ideas short of calling plod?

Just call Plod on the non emergency number. They seem to appreciate stuff like that. I had to call them recently about a car whose wheels were stolen, and they basically told me that they are happy for the public to report anything that is even remotely dodgy and then they decide if they need to take it further.
