Have always wanted to won a Ferrari (and a host of other cars, but the Fezza is to be the first in the list). Not yet got the cash, but it's at the point when nursery fees are reducing and so it's becoming feasible. I do realise that they have supercar running costs, and will be putting approx 6-8k miles per annum on it.
So, I will go and drive them and test them, but am currently wondering about 355 or 360 (am not in the 'minted' category!) - am looking for a great driving experience (which is not, as the recent thread about the 355 for sale notes, all about speed) and not daft running costs.
So - any experiences to share about 360s or 355s esp in comparison. The 355 I've driven was a bit disappointing but it was not that quickly and around a narrow track with little runoff so was not able to rev it to get to the power and torque - imagine that when driven properly it would be fine. 360 - not driven. Like the look of both. Generally prefer open-top cars.....
thoughts/experiences etc welcomed.

Drive them both, see which you prefer. The 360 is quite a step up in the performance, handling and refinement areas in my opinion, but the 355 has slightly more appeal aesthetically TO ME, although I do think the 360 is stunning (especially in more subtle colours like the grey). It's your money at the end of the day though.
I don't think you'd be disappointed in either.

355 every time. One of the most beautiful cars of all time and the noise!

thanks to all (even the troll-hunter
) - probably manual box, to answer the q. It clearly divides opinion - for me I love the 355s looks, but suspect that the 360 is more able to cope with slightly higher use and is not quite such a pain to service. Agree that a sorted 355 is a better bet than a bargain basement 360. Am really looking for those people on here that have experience of both/either in real life?

I call troll.
No person of sane mind would chose a 360 over a 355. It's like chosing Susan Boyle over Cameron Diaz.
The fact there's no shortage of 360s on the road and changing hands suggests there's quite a few who would. No person of sane mind would chose a 360 over a 355. It's like chosing Susan Boyle over Cameron Diaz.
FWIW I'd rather have a 360, the only thing I prefer about the 355 having driven them back to back a few years ago was the sound.
