Just wanted to post an "informational message" for anyone who was planning on going to the Motor Show Live thing at the NEC and wasn't aware of the almighty clusterf*** that is "The National Rail Network" and their wonderful timing of performing major works on the East Coast Main Line between 29th May and 6th June.

Details on www.nationalrail.co.uk but just thought it work mentioning in case some of you planned on just jumping on a train for the trip up.... :-(

Naturally the Motor Show website isn't making any noises about it... why would it :-)

Description : Major engineering work. Railway closed between Watford Junction and Stafford via Milton Keynes, Rugby, Nuneaton and Lichfield Trent Valley: also between Rugby and Coventry (extended to Birmingham International 29 May - 01 June). Extensive train service alterations and road replacement services. No Virgin Trains' services to or from London Euston. No direct train service between London Euston and Birmingham International for the Motor Show
Alternative route Midland Mainline via London St Pancras or Chiltern Railways via London Marylebone
