Hi,

Im after some advice from anyone in the know please, any help or comments appreciated.

Currently I have a wonky patio constructed by the previous owner, it is raised up slightly on breeze blocks spaced 300mm apart.

Is this a suitable framework for decking rather than ripping it up to replace with timber beams?

Also if it is i'd be looking to raise the level slightly so would need an extra 50mm of frameworking, would a 50mm x 30mm be suitable size piece to make a frame to put the decking boards on.

if you are going for a raised deck then you will need to rip out as you will need to put in support posts and then run datums round better starting with a clean sheet of paper
