Just ordered a stack unit today. Will have it end of next week.

Would like to know any tips or advice with the install.

Do I use all the stack sensors?

Can I tie into the Ultima harness under the dash or do I need to run wiring to rear engine compartment?

Any info is appreciated...

The speed sensor wire I ran back because it is a screened wire to prevent interference. All the others I grafted into the loom.

Previous posts indicated that when installed in the factory pod there was glare from the Stack onto the windscreen at night. Using G/F I extended the lip on the top front of the pod. Not driven at night yet to find if it worked.

You will want to find some buttons for the dash. There are 4 of them to control the Stack but the ones supplied are crap. Got mine from RS, stainless steel anti vandal buttons.

I found that the stack dash interfered with the radio reception on the stereo if that is of interest!
Other than that its fairly easy to install.

On CJ's ebsite are instructions for connecting a Stack Dash to a GTR loom. I talked with Ted and he reported the factory just uses the Stack loom and tapes off the ultima loom connections that are not used.

I think the recundency is would make zero impact on your cars performance. I used the Stack loom as the factory does so that I could rely on a harness with as few connections as possible.
