Hi all. I am seriously considering this car and would value any/all opinions on price, spec, what to look out for? I appreciate wheels may not be to all tastes but I am a bit of an individualist and actually like them! Have previously owned two SL300s (24v), one was fantastic, the other was a nightmare with one problem after the other that almost puts me off buying again.

Many thanks in advance.

I would stay well clear of 19 inch wheels on a 129, the ride will be atrocious.

each to their own , but I've just had a long search for an original early car . Tool kits and first aid kits mean a lot to me , as does a continuous history ,but it's a matter of aesthetics and opinion . I pick up my 1990 300-24 next week ! Can't wait .

I must say I really don't like the wheels on that SL. Personal preference I guess.

Taste is a matter of taste.

The wheels will do nothing for suspension wear, ride comfort, handling, noise, vibration and harshness. I don't suppose they'll last long on British roads, either.

But apart from that they are great.... smile

fwiw I don't like them either! Some AMGs would look much better.

Car sounds nice. Wheels aren't that bad either. Check out Burford Cars' 320 SL...very nice car indeed, owned by the mother of the proprietor's mother..genuine car with less than 50k on the clock...note that I have no connection with them...
