Hi all,

My XKR portfolio (MY 2008) has got a valve operated exhaust system on the back box.

Do all XKR's have this or is it aftermarket?

Regards,
Filip

Yes it was introduced for the X150 (the Ally bodied XKR)

You have a low sound for cruise but when you floor it the valve opens so you get the V8 burble

You will probably end up with an irritating drone when cruising if you force it open.

I used to have an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. You just had to pop out the relevant fuse to achieve what you want.

Ok, will check which fuse.

Might prefer a proper sports exhaust after all.

Hope will be able to compare the different set ups / brands at coming growler in may.

Its fuse 19 behind the rear seat, I fitted a switch so you choose between your mood wink

The fuse you want is where you can see the blue wires coming out of.

Thanks, that's a very helpful answer!

Will remove wire and do it properly wink

Difference in soundlevel not to obvious in my opinion.
