Is it me, or are there really fewer Nobles for sale this spring than in previous years. Kerridges and Mole Valley have only 1 car each.

Chris.

Think you're right. I bought mine in April, 2 years ago and IIRC Kerridges had three M12s and two M400s for sale at that time, and Mole Valley had 3.

Do you think they're being hoarded? cool

I think the general masses have finally turned on to just what a huge bargain these cars represent.

Kerridges GTO3R was sold yesterday, to my mate !
They have an M400 that should be going on sale soon, needs the front end tidying up.

I also think that more potential owners are researching the cars and are the sort of people more likely to want to wield a spanner or two. Therefore seeing the cost saving benefit of buying private over the sometimes wildly inflated dealer prices.
But either way, less choice makes the strongly priced cars look more attractive.

The gap between prices of good and bad examples are also opening up, as autocar stated in their recent article, that they are like buying an E type jag, there can be a big difference between good and bad examples and the cheapest ends up costing the most.

It is good to see so many Nobles being well maintained and is also good to see circulation decreasing due to finding cherished owners, i think more people are starting to hold onto them.

I do not think they will be worth alot of money because there are many across the pond that could easily be converted to RHD, but i think they may well hold their value or even increase a little which makes ownership a very enticing prospect, especially since with a few cheap upgrades there is still not much on the market that can beat them on overall performance, not at this price anyway.

I've always kept tabs on the classifieds for M12's and seem some great cars come and go, many I would love to own. Now that I have the finances together to make a purchase, theres nothing I desire going up for sale frown

Do you think it would be any benefit emailing popular Noble dealers such as Kerridges, Mole Valley, Plans etc to see if they can help source a car? They must see many cars passing through their garages for services etc and it could be possible some owners are thinking of selling.

As stated above,Kerridges have just taken in a 2004/54,( I think around 20 thou miles) one owner M400 supplied and serviced by them from new.Had a quick glance when picking my car up and at first acquaintence, other than stone chips and the like etc, looked a safe buy.Not too many with that sort of provenance left.

some of the dealers sell cars on thier forcourts on behalf of owners for commission. Im not sure if they advertise them or not so its def worth getting in touch with them to let them know your in the market for one.

Was told by Mole Valley on Saturday that they're struggling to find decent cars to sell. They've got a M400 that there is a queue for if buyer one, two and three all pull out! So they could sell 4 tomorrow if they could get hold of them.

Well, if there are fewer cars it ain't pushing up the prices being asked. If anything, looking on the PH classifieds, they keep falling.
