How do the top dash leather pads come off

Any idea how to take the leather pads off the top of the dash? I tried pulling them but i didn’t want to try to much force.

They do just pull off, they are held on by plastic clips

The plastic clips do have a barb though so be careful if you really pull for all you're worth!
