Does the body definitely, absolutely, without-a-shadow-of-a-doubt have to come off to repair a rust hole in the outrigger?

depends exactly where the hole is.

you might be able to unbolt the body and lift it just high enough to be able to weld it. Not recommended but it's been known to work

Thanks guys. I'm breathing easier now. Any contacts for who might be a likely candidate to tackle the job?

Hi Paul,

If you're going to get someone to do the repair work for you, I can't recommend Moore Racing highly enough. They replaced my outriggers for me (see my car profile for detail) by just raising the body high enough to gain access without actually removing it.

If you do call them, speak to Richard Moore; he's a top bloke and I'm sure he'll sort you out.

Good luck,

Richard

P.S. Really like your website - very smart.

Richard came and trailered my car away as I'd done some of the disconnection and dismantling work myself, and I think you're probably closer to them than I am so you could probably do the same arrangement.
