Their prices are rather irritating. I've got one eye on the lookout for a project car and have looked through their examples many times. However, every time I come to the conclusion that I may as well buy a fully operational car instead because by the time you've done all the repairs and had the whole car resprayed you're left with a very expensive Cat C/D car that is worth a fraction what you paid for it. And you can guarantee there will be more to repair than just some 'light fibreglass damage'. I really can't understand why people pay those prices?

What a load of self serving arrogance and snobbery !
The guy in question has, in my experience,more knowledge of TVR`s than the majority of subscribers to these forums could hope to access. True he may have the odd blind spot as to the crucial issues of "service charges" "what colour should I paint my car " "various polishes"not forgetting the perennial and technically challenging "replacing my stepper motor"thread which too often occupy these columns,but hey we can`t all be doyens of information and interest can we ?
There are people out there who ,for whatever reason, enjoy or prefer getting their hands dirty and the challenge of resurrecting an accident damaged car,not forgetting the many people who`ve benefitted from used parts sourcing, so before sounding off with a whole load of elitist crap give a thought for them.
As to prices,it`s your choice. The alternative is to form a company,subscribe to the various clearance yards, spend chunks of time in front of a computer screen,commit to financial outlay then trawl around the country collecting wrecks just so others can moan about a degree of profit.

Someone has to buy them, for some people it works. I bought mine from him, happy as Larry. It isn't perfect but then how many people have bought crap through auto trader from dealers. I knew what i was buying and what I needed to do. No one is being forced to buy it, I guess big al has the final say, if it is alright with him then it is ok with me. If the cars are too expensive then no one will buy, the market is self regulating.Just my views, the best advice is to check the car either yourself or by an expert.

That'll be me then! 
Clearly there are certain breakers who sell rubbish and are not selling stuff as described - the best examples include the s6 cerb (per above) and the yellow cerb with virtually no chassis left. Many breakers try and sell parts in poor condition and/or over priced. It is indefensible. I do agree though that breakers cars would be better advertised in the appropriate section ie not with 'normal' cars. But hey it's just my opinion.
The guy is in business to make a living and a profit, so he has to price at what people will pay, there are other dealers so there is an element of competition. I recently bought a part from a breaker and I got 3 prices and went to the one with the lowest price.
As for advertising the cars in the TVR section, where else is he going to put cars that are being sold as damaged repairables? The other sections are for breaking and parts not damaged repairables.
Personally, I also find the pics of the crashed cars remind me to be careful in the wet, as its so easy to get carried away.
