Heads up - last day to register for Olympics tickets is tommorrow

I've registered for Athletics (Mens 100m finals)and the Mens boxing finals

The womens beach volleyball won't be quite the same as it was on Bondi Beach in Sydeny 2000!

Some of the prices are ridiculous, let's hope it's worth it.

The top ticket for the 100 metres final is £725, the cheapest being £50.

It's not just the one event though, you get to see-

Yep, that's the one I have gone for. I have registered for either the £50 - £125 tickets as apparently you get more chance of winning them then. I reckon this event will be the one most in demand.

For £725 I'd want corporate entertainment!

We tend to do quite well in anything that involves sitting down, so rowing, sailing, canoeing and cycling. We also have some of the best para-Olympians too...

I hear what you are saying, however I'm working on the basis that this will be the only British games in my lifetme so it's one to get involved in.

Strange process, I wanted to put in for a bunch of options and would be happy to get one of them.

Ended up with a grand of tickets that would be billed if I got them all, unlikely I know.

So deleted them all apart from one event

Mrs H has just applied for tickets for one of the athletics sessions and one of the swimming. I assumed that this would be an all day thing but apparently you only get a couple of hours for all that money

She would have booked more but it was pointed out that she'd need to find someone else to go with!

Guys I applied for about 8 events, if I get offered tickets for all those events, Shirley I don't have to buy them all? One of my mates is saying I do I can't work out if he's trying to wind me up or not?

The VISA card you supplied will be charged for all the tickets you are allocated. You can sell back tickets you don't need but I'm not sure when.

From what have read it seems you can get a refund but it will not be until christmas, so you will be out of pocket until then.

It will be illegal to sell tickets in the UK, however there are bound to be offshore websites that facilitate this so a profit is possible, if unethical.

As fas as I know, unless you've had a confirmation email of the tickets you've applied for starting like this:

You can't get a refund but you can "sell the tickets for not more than face value" if you don't want them. From what it says on the website it sounds like there will be ID checks for whoever buys the tickets but they can sell them to family and friends....but the person who bought them has to be there.

Some prices are just barmy.....for some of the swimming sessions you only get four races and tickets are up to £450.

I have just applied for quite a few tickets for different events as I'm a bit of a sports nut.
