They are japanese toys made by medicom called the Kubrick range. They are pretty hard to get hold of in europe.

Nice work.

That sort of stuff would prove popular with photo libraries.

Ever tried contacting any?

No ive never tried to be honest!

I had an email from Andy Morgan at evo saying he quite liked my car shots and that they've got my details on file so I can come along for a shoot if they have something suitable. I've been meaning to reply to him for ages, but I need to have a serious think about what I want to do with photography because i dont want to waste his time. Ive also had some interest from a pro car photographer in S.A. Here is a snap of a lotus s2 i took that has been quite popular:

These trooper photos were taken with view to getting a contract to snap the models for a new online retailer to go on their site. Meeting is on tuesday so fingers crossed!

Do you know the details for any libraries who might be interested? Please post or email me if you do!

I never really get involved in the technical threads that go through this forum. To be honest I dont really know anything about that kind of stuff. To me it seems really simple: compose the photo, set up the camera and have a bit of fun.

I wish I could afford one of the nice nikons or canons but from my experience, its not the camera, its taking your time and learning from the shots you like!

Cheers for your comments guys!

Matt

number one is my favourite btw.

Unless someone's been cloning hills, thats Brill... i live about 3miles from there when im back home.

Drop me an email if you're shooting there again and i'll pop along and say hi. Know the owner of the pub (Pheasant) on the hill, good food

I think the reverse lights give it a quirky kind of look for the better.

Have I drunk too much Stolichnaya?

Top marks for the inspiration and use of table top.

I find that sort of photography to be the hardest (second to animals!!!!!!)

I always get a brain fade when I decide to do tabletop shoots.

I managed to take over 100 shots of my sisters dog today and managed about 10 i'm happy with

special forces/swat team lego looks great

I've just submitted some shots to a library called Alamy. There are a number of very good pros on there, and a friend of a friend recommended them to me.

cheers for that mate. Ive looked through their terms of submission and they dont accept sharpened images.

This seems a bit odd to me.

I sharpen a lot of mine with the unsharp mask tool as a corrective measure.

Do you think they will notice and bin them?

They may well notice - do you not have the original unsharpened images available still? You'll also need to bump up the image size as well if you're shooting digitally.

Even the RPS allow sharpened images - as long as it's not 'noticeable', IYKWIM.

Ah yes, but as a stock library, Alamy are selling the images on to people who may or may not want to sharpen them, and if they do sharpen the image, the amount will depend on what they want to use the image for.

As sharpening an image degrades it slightly, I can understand why they require images without sharpening.

Obviously, if you submit sharpened images and they accept them, then you're laughing. If they reject them, then you'll just have to re-submit without sharpening.
