a/con not working on sagaris
looking for some help..
the a/c is not working at all in my sag. when a/c button is pushed in there is not the usual click you get.
with grahams manual ive had a look but got stuck so far.
gas seems ok 110psi.
fuse 28 ok.
but.. it says on the manual that in the pod screen menu 5 CL=a/con should say on when the button is engaged but its showing off.also on pod 5 pr= showing off when should say on. but fans on the radiator run as normal ie on and off at correct temps.
so checked menu 8= factory and the a/c fitted is correctly saying yes!
just wondering if anyone could advise, maybe a setting or is there a way to check the trinary switch or compressor.
cheers

its in the engine bay, follow the wiring back from the pump you will find a grey round relay about 12"away, buy a new one from citroen, half the price of tvr ones.(it is a ctroen pump).

Sorry Clive, but the Relay is for the steering pump, not the A/C...

In the passenger footwell, near the A-Pillar is a thermostat with a small brass pipe going into the heater area. It's for switching off the A/C if it's freezing.
You should check this part (it has a small adjuster knob), for testing maybe you can unplug and use a small bypass.

sibo with a cool update!
just for future reference guys.
checked the stat in passengers footwell as adviced =ok tho
then found a fault on the a/c interior fan switch pc board. couldnt buy one of these anywhere for st! but tvr power do a service of repairing these, spot on.
but still no chill. so tonight discharged the gas and replaced the trinary switch. then vacced the system, charge with r134a and added a touch off oil. started her up and hey presto working.

a wee thanks to graham as his manual once again has talked me through a fault and prob save me some cash by not taking into a garage. ta
