Drag racing at RAF Odiham

A near perfect day to be drag racing.
Not too busy, very good startline grip for an airfield, glorious sunshine all day.
Cooler air would have been better. Having my car ready in time for this would have made it perfect.
Good to meet Peter (haicutmike) and Barrie (BPiper) in 2 very quick Chimaeras running 12.6 and 12.7.
Also a Cerbera running 12.4 IIRC and a rather quick Tuscan ran 12.2 on his last run after we advised he dropped his rear tyre pressures.

Had a great day today as my mission was to get into the 12 seconds. Managed to achieve a 12.7 so came away a happy chappy.
Good to meet up with Derek and Peter, Peter and I had some good races, however he 'just' had the edge
Looking forward to Santa Pod in July.

What a superb day! Sunshine, nice people, and loads of great cars and bikes just having a relaxed day.

Following Dereks advice and dropping the tyre pressures worked wonders and my final run was the best of the day:
Time: 12.28s
Terminal: 116mph
60ft: 1.93s
No idea if this is quick but it certainly felt great to stretch the cars legs, and the added bonus of having such a long runway meant 140+ was just about achievable. The car was rock steady with the roof off which was a little suprising.

12.28 for a drag racing virgin is excellent. You no doubt have a very healthy Tuscan also.
