sorry ....brakes again

Hello all,
i have replaced all the pipes on my car and fitted braided hoses allround. Filled up with fluid and bled the sytem, but the pedal still keeps going to the floor the first time it is pressed .The presure builds each time it's pressed. I have spotted a bleed nipple on the servo in the inner wing ( looks a nightmare to get onto ) does anybody know if i have got to bled this? or is there any tricks to help bleed the system,

Hi Q1,

I recently changed my flexi-rubber hoses for the braided ones.
I went around bleeding from the one nearest the master cylinder first working out to the furthest as suggested by GreenV8S.
I didnt need to do anything else, admittedly yours are from empty, I can only hazard a guess you may have a leak or air still in the system somewhere.
Unless soem more techno minded guy has an idea.
If you wanna hand give me a buzz, i'll pop down.

Just changed the master cylinder on the wedge , after 4ltrs of brake fluid ,gave up and called a well known font of all knowledge as I had exactly the same problem . This is what he advised , and it worked for me !

1. Bleed the master cylinder , by starting with the pipe furthest from the servo , then work back .
2. Bleed rear caliper ( On the wedge only one nipple, but if two start with nearside)
3.NS caliper , (I've got 4pots) lokking fwd start with outboard top , then go anti clockwise .
4.OS caliper , outboard top ,then go clockwise .

Strangely enough im on my forth liter of fluid, went out and got another 5 liters (just in case!)and another "ezi bleed " kit that's preasured from a car tyre. Thanks for writing this NHyde because it was starting to get a bit personal

The other trick with four pots (AP princess callipers) is to remove them and turn them upside down and then bleed. Need a piece of wood between the pads to keep the pistons in place. Alternatively I found a pressure bleeder was really the only good reliable method.

None what so ever! I have removed the regulating valve at the rear of the car opened it up and it doesn't look to clever inside so wil try and get a replacement for it. Nice Wedge by the way

It's worth noting, incidentally, that if you catch all the fluid that you've pumped through, bottle it quick and let it stand, the air bubbles will find their own way out and you can re-use it...
