I had a tidy up of the shed the other day and i have accumulated lots of spare parts for the Noble, alloy coolant header tank, shocks, springs, wishbones, radiator, intercooler, alloys, lots of other little bits and bobs also, no wonder the shed was getting full, anyway while looking through all the stuff i came across my old exhaust system and it was a nostalgic moment, still in original condition, without any rust but still with a broken exhaust bracket, and i started to remember how good this exahsut system sounded and i have not been able to replicate it since.

This is a factory fitted exhaust, Dave may recall building this car, because of the additional two exhaust ports going into the silencer it made the car sound like a motorbike, when i changed the exhaust system many friends commented that the car did not sound as good, maybe i could find a way of puuting this back on but destricting it in some way, maybe removing the cats would be a start.

Anyway here it is a pic of the old exhaust system which i am having fond memories.

What would happen if your car hasd been tuned with a non restrictive exhaust and you put a restrictive exhaust back on? Just out of interest, because i am thinking about putting it back on for a play.

The fuel starvation problems with the ARV have already fated my car to an engine rebuild, my engine used to be like new and now i have a misting of oil in my breather tank frown

the car will have more backpressure which means the cylinders will not be filled and evacuated as efficiently

if you are going to fit it - i suggest you take it to a dyno and get the afr checked and get the operator to check for det

i would be interested to see just how much power you do (or don't) loose

If i were to refit it i would derestrict it first, i.e. remove cats and where the two pipes meet at the Y junction i would put a big bore pipe after, i doubt i would get any back pressure.
I would love to try it out again and see how it sounds with more power going through it, i am very tempted.

"Anti rollover valve" which connects to the fuel tank and allows air to replace the fuel being used.
