What's the life expectancy of a set of R888s? Is it feasible to drive 100 miles to a circuit, do a day on track and drive home on a new set, or is it best to travel with a spare set of wheels and swap in the paddock?

You should be fine at that, most drivers get a number of trackdays out of one set.

Which car are you taking and which circuit?

I've got 3 track days and 2000 normal miles out of my rears inc 1 or 2 doughnuts, need to be changed now though
I have cups on at the moment nowhere as good as the R888

I get 7 or 8 days out of a set on the 182, you'd have to drive like a mentalist to get through a set in a day.

Depends on the compound of the Tyre, you should get that out of a Medium set easy unless you are really hard on tyres (meaning you could do with tuition), or out there all day non stop hehe

Just done the same and finished them off drag racing at Odiham today.

These are medium compound and have lasted twice as long as the previous set.

The last set were used mainly on airfield days that have courser more abrasive tarmac.

Also, some say my driving may have become smoother wink, and that's why they have lasted longer, others may say, "try harder!" silly

Seriously, you have no worries about getting home.
