the new arrival
Discussion
A newbie to this neck of the p/hd woods, so please be nice and helpfull with advice when required.
I decided I needed a new toy/project to keep me busy and have been keping an eye out for a suitable candidate for some time now, after seeing mr Reid`s add on here for an old Taimar I made a phone call and a week later Tess turns up at her new home.(ok, so I`m sad and like giving my cars names).

as you can see just a few jobs need doing
the previous owner, (not steve) had started to strip down the car, but given up, so within half an hour the boxes of parts were unloaded from inside the car, bonnet and body lifted off, so I could get a good look at what needed doing.
It will be a full restoration job, strip down to bare chassis, shot blast, new bits where needed, and coated, strip and rebuild engine, basically new everything with regards to brakes and shocks.
then the body will need trial fitting, new door hinges ect, window mechanisms sorting out, new wiring loom(colour coded)
body will have a full respray, new interior trim, carpets, seats, the list goes on, basically I want to end up with a car in better condition than when it left the factory, and I`m really looking forward the next weekend`s 4 day break to get stuck in.
It will be an ongoing labour of love, possibly sometimes hate, but if I can have it done in the next 12 to 24 months then I`ll be pretty chuffed.

just posting here so it appears in My stuff for updates. Looks like a great project Clive, I'd love to get more experience of the classic TVR's, I've only ever driven modern stuff... will have to buy one sometime in the future when we have some space/time.
Also worth looking at 'Hatters' SEAC rebuild, if you're not already reading it.

Clive, great to see it arrived back in its new offshore haven ( was going to say in one piece but that would not be further from the truth). Good to see you are not rushing things.
Suprised at your name for the car, given its arrival date and start of its resurrection I would have thought "Jeezus" would have been more appropriate. Jeezus, what have I done? Jeezus, how do you do that?, Jeezus, how much? Jeezus, thats turned out nice!!! Hope you have a lot of fun with it and no doubt be hearing from you...... A LOT !!!
