A few niggles and questions!
Discussion
I'll keep this thread brief as i'll update my year in the life thread later this week with a full report! After an absolutely glorious day in the sunshine yesterday, there are a few niggles that I need to look to get sorted and could do with some extra input.
- Mk2 pod dash - Is there a master list of error codes? I am getting code 3 "EFI error" on start up (goes after 5 or 6 secs) and also intermittently codes 1 and 4?? Both of these also have come up only on startup and then go after a few seconds.
I can only find the older mk1 error code list. Is there something similar for the mk2 dash?
- I have a laptop with an "eSATA" port. Will I be able to use this with the diagnostic cable? I have only found these through Raceproved. Are there any alternatives?
- Front top windscreen seal which sits over the roll hoop and then flush against the windscreen - Having had this partly make a bid for freedom, it looks like it should normally be glued to the windscreen. Are there any recommended products to use to secure this?
There are a few other bits which i'd rather leave in the hands of the experts, such as a hesitation under light throttle, and the right hand roof catch doesn't seem to engage fully but any help on these other issues would be great!!
Cheers

Hi
I can help with the diagnostics
Works best on XP, but can work on 7, Vista and 98. I have tried to run it on ubuntu but not very good. Needs a serial port 4800 baud or 9600, com port 1 or 2. (Can select using F10 or the screen with the yellow cerb). Not all serial to USB connectors work, so a bit of trial and error, I have gone through 3 so far, best bet seems to be from Maplin, most work better on XP.
Reduce the buffer from high to low on the advanced screen of the port settings (under properties in device manager).
The car needs to be ready to fire although not running, the immobiliser needs to be off.
That should get you going.
