Hi All,

Anyone up for Go Karting again? I am dying for a go at the new Edinburgh centre...

You referring to the Tranent/Macmerry 1km outdoor track?

I'd travel for that, providing it was towards the end of May?

Raceland in Gladamuir near Tranent smile I'd prefer the outdoors wink

I could be convinced depending on the date. Outdoors is preferred.

Interested - longer nights makes the outdoor one good for an evening. Is it still expensive though - last time I looked at it you had to book the track out and then get the bodies to bring down the cost?

No offence to Xtreme (other providers are available), but the outdoor one is simply epic.

A lap takes longer than a minute at the Tranent/Macmerry place (Raceland?) and there are far more chances to overtake than on a winding 20sec lap/400m indoor track.

Other peeps might see that as a negative, a less technical exercise, but after having spent an entire race behind a much slower car at Xtreme Larbert the last time, I'd prefer a few extra chicanes/straights to get by on...

Worth the extra outlay, IMO.

Sorry about this, OP... I'll getmecoat

Been to Xtreme before, was a good day out to be honest!
Now that the weather's starting to get better though, I think I'll be waiting for an opportunity to come along to an outdoor track.

We can start a heavy weight division race - must be 100kg+ to enter this elite group smile

I should be able to do then, although the week after (6th June) would be preferable smile
