But it's a non-runner, needs a new engine! Any ideas as to what a full rebuild might run to, worst case scenario?

I'd personally stay away, a number of things could need doing on that... costs can escalate very quickly when everything else is taken into account apart from the engine itself.... my advice, buy one thats got a working engine at least....

Sadly I'm not in a position to buy - was just curious as to how accurate the pricing was. Seemed a bit optimistic for a 'sold as seen' non-runner, especially as the seller warns to budget for a replacement engine (rather than rebuild, or needs attention)

Apparently worst case can be £9,500 for parts alone on a rebuild. Suddenly not a good buy.

I think it's would be better for some doing a rebuild of an accident damaged car and looking for spare parts which they could use on it and possibly on others too.
