About to move into a rented place in London sharing with 4 others and want to cover my contents, what's the cheapest way of doing this and how much should I be paying for reasonable cover (usual items - ipod, laptop, xbox, tv, clothes? Also have 3 bikes which it would probably be sensible to cover also, although only one of these will be locked outside the house at any point. Any advice welcomed.

Thanks smile

Phone round for quotes like you would for car insurance.

I've paid a little over a fiver a month for contents insurance on a flat. That was with the AA.

Is there a difference between contents for a house and contents for a room in a shared house though?

Yes. Try someone like Endsleigh or Saxon.
