Hi all, hoping for some local advice.

My IS-F is coming up to 3 years old and therefore will shortly require an MOT. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't put a car through an MOT since I moved to this area many years ago, so have no clue as to who could be trusted around here.

Can anyone help with a recommendation as to who could be trusted in the Bishops Stortford/Hertford area?

Also, I'm thinking of getting a new Tracker fitted - again any recommendation would be appreciated.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Hi, if you want a Lexus dealership, there is one in Hatfield that is pretty big. Hilton and Moss in Stansted also do on site MOTs and they deal with modern and classic sports cars. I use them for my Sagaris.

Thanks

Thanks guys, appreciated.

Of course I have used the 'local' Lexus network - although was hoping to avoid having to schlep to Hatfield/Woodford. Hilyton & Moss a good shout.

Good call on the tracker chaps also, appreciated!

For MOT's try The Hadham Motor Company on the A120 just before the Little Hadham bridge and traffic lights. Their number is 01279 776161. The MOT fee is £35. They MOT'd both my Audi and Golf about three weeks ago.

I use someone in Ware, who I have used since I moved to the area about 13 years ago and trust them implicitly. They have always been scrupulously honest. Not the cheapest (not the most expensive either) but for me it is money well spent.

DJ Motors in Crane Mead, near Ware Station. They are Rover Specialists but they have never had a problem with any of my cars and I have never owned a rover (Ford, Suzuki, Toyota, Mitsubishi but not a Rover).

Thanks guys, some great advice, and appreciated that you took the time to respond.

I guess one concern I have is that the IS-F is a little complicated (i.e headlights that go round corners, etc) and not sure if the smaller local chaps would be OK with that? Ignore me if I sound wobble stupid , as I said above I've not done this in a very long while!

The Little Hadham garage would be great as I'm just up the road (user name gives it away!) and also I'm in Ware an awful lot as I coach kids footy over that way... smile

Hi Ham,

You're more than welcome to give us (Hilton & Moss) a try. We are a Lotus dealer as well, and we deal with some fairly advanced tech like carburettors and drum brakes wink
