Creased Back Screen

Now that the real good whether is here i'm having to get to grips with trying to fold the rear screen down without creasing it.
I use a swimming float which is about 3" in diameter and cut it to length so it fits along the centre of the screen to stop it creasing.
Has anyone ever thought of having a smaller rear window and making it so that you could unzip it and fold it down on the rear shelf before putting the back down? This is what the Mazda mx5 does i believe.

Yep, definately do able. Infact I had a thread running on the a while back (can't find it in the search though). I'm currently talking with Fernhurst about viability and price.
