Does anyone happen to have a close-up shot of the stock SEAC mirror. (My car is 60+ miles away)

My carbon man & I are looking to accurately reproduce wedge mounting face on to something like an M3 or similar mirror offering superior vision.

I love the aerodynamic look of my SEAC's mirror but regardless of where you line them up rear vision is crap.

Any other suggestions?

I think it'd look daft with a much bigger mirror. It's a bit like motorbikes, the lines always look cleaner without mirrors...

I have M3 ones on my racer also, only had to do very minor mods.

Yes, I forgot to bring my camera with me Sunday Leigh.

I do like the Nitron's on your racer and will be talking to my guys to try and adopt them.

You and your brother have an amazing workshop, very nice.

Do you or Andrew have any photo's to hand?

Ian, I hear what you say but the stock view out of my SEAC's mirrors are crap?

I'm open to alternative suggestions on how to improve things?

...as they all are wink

I just use the bike rider's 'lifesaver' - look over your shoulder. The mirror's only any use for a general view of the distance behind you, even my Transit (with twin mirrors) has a blind spot, so you still have to check.

Have you not got a camera on your phone.

If you do a search you should find some pictures of my mirrors, if not I'll find and post some tomorrow.

By the time you are finished you are going to have enough bits left over to build another SEAC!

First dibs on the seats ;-)

I think I'd still prefer a mirror upgrade.

My 5-series BM mirrors are I think pretty good, the M5's are better still.

Mikey,

Talking of seats, someone told me that Mazda MX5 seats fit and they have a version with speakers built into the headrest - sounds interesting.

Wedge exhaust music competing with pop music !

Cannot find your car Leigh but there are one or two options here:

The frame on my driver seat broke and I swapped out a Miata (MX5) seat as a longer than planned test. The Mazda seats do fit and the speaker option is GREAT!

I wired the front speakers to the headrest and the rears to the sideways speakers on the parcel shelf. (But use MAX-5 Headrest Speakers by Jeff Anderson.)

However, I don't like the fit or look of my Mazda seat - it may need new foam. A couple of weeks ago I took another look at my TVR passenger seat and added a pair of speakers in about 45 minutes without removing the seat from the car.

Pull the headrest completely out, remove the cover - it's stapled to a bit of wood. Dig out just enough foam for the speakers to fit on the front side of the metal plate in the headrest. Run the wires down the center of the headrest tube. Replace the leather cover - this last bit was the hardest b/c the speakers don't have the give the foam did - and re-staple. Run the wire down inside the seat back. I put a 4 prong connector (US trailer type) at the base of the seat so it can be disconnected nicely. No need to perforate the leather although I suppose that would be nice. Grady

ETA somewhat defensively and before I get yelled at -
I listen to the radio because I don't have a thundering V-8 to listen to, my drives are in a city with horrid roads where I otherwise listen to the crashing of TVR parts as I careen from pothole to raised (or sunken) manhole cover to road seam. rolleyes

I like those - The ones on my poor '85 are post-mounted and all broken. Were they hard to mount? Grady
