My opinion - your not selling it, your advert is really understating the car. It needs to really SELL the car, the fact that is probably better than when it left the factory, best on the road today blah blah blah......

Just my opinion.

It is undoubtedly a fantastic car but I suggest market conditions are not helping, but as an idea !! my local paper does a weekly car supplement and many selling interesting cars have articles written about their cars, it certainly raises the profile so a possible avenue if your local rag does a similar feature.
Good luck

Blaine,

i dont think there's any thing wrong with your advert, shame you have to sell a realy nice wedge that looks like you have put a lot of time and effort into it but every boady has there own reasons for selling, i think its showing the times with people not willing to send good monay on a realy nice wedge because its a wedge but think a cheep Chimp or Griff would be better....not...shame realy

These cars could be riddled with lots of hiden probes...

The problem is their's to many people that talk a good talk and thats about it...

Good luck with the sale of your wedge, shame your soo south and it would be nice to see in the flesh.

Personally, I don't think there's much wrong with your advert. I reckon it's more to do with the state of the country! I would love to buy your Wedge, but I can't justify spending that much money. Dulfords still have my V8S, which is costing way more to sort out than I anticipated.

I still intend to get a Wedge this year, but my budget is now limited to around 5k. So, I'm having to be patient as well (I'm waiting for a response to enquiries on two cars, so I'm having the opposite problem to you).

In my opinion, you are just waiting for the buyer with a little more money to burn, who wants the best out there. That will happen.

I dont think your photos are good enough. The ones of the outside of the car aren't lit well and one or two are slightly out of focus. Take some well lit closer up photos of the outside of the car that show how good it is.

Advert & pic's look OK to me, think it's the price.
It's a shame as the car sounds like a gem & really well treated??
Where else have you got it advertised? Maybe Classic Car Mag would be a good idea?

It might be worth ringing round the classic mags to see if they are thinking of doing an article about ragtops or TVR's to buy, I got my 350i in a mag a few years ago.

Unfortunatly its the market at the mo, 10k ish is alot of cash for an in essence unreliable old car, before you start slating me lads they dont know what we know do they. Its all about timing Blaine it needs to be seen by someone who wants it, bear with it bud its a lovely example of a great car it will sell.

Too much money perhaps? Perhaps it's a classic case of shelling out loads on a resto which doesn't match the going rate for the model being offered. The clued up punter looking to buy will note the prices of those cars for sale to which there are some cheaper SEs than yours on the market. Maybe you should consider dropping the price slightly or waiting until demand creeps up pushing the prices to an acceptable level.

Hi Mate..Maybe replace the last four pictures with some of the restoration..Even a before and after just to show the extent of the work that has been done..As for the price..well im not sure about that as to what the car is worth or what has been spent but 10k is alot of cash and there is still a recession on..In reality you are getting a car that has been fully restored so it is like new if not better but people are dubious around TVRs with their bad rep and all...Which is a shame cos as said in previous posts why are the so cheap in comparison to other cars..I hope the right person comes along who knows what they are buying..Good luck..Ziga

You could also put a link in the advert that would take you to loads more pictures, like a photobucket account album, that might whett the appetite a bit more?

I think your car looks the nuts, so I'm guessing its a reflection of the market at the moment. If you wanted a good 350i in p/ex , I'd come and look scratchchin

May have been more than a year ago, people on here were raving about it at the time, it seems most people are thinking short term and it's probably easier to sell a Griff than a wedge when they want out.

It was probably this one.
I took this pic of it at the 'Yorkshire Big Breakfast' meet last year.
.

Yes,it was an absolutely top notch gorgeous car, but so also is Blaine's. smile

Really, any Wedge in this sort of condition is an absolute bargain compared to some of the classic car rustbuckets, but we know that don't we.

That is the car I was thinking of.
