No it's not, but the 1980's LeMans cars that the current GTR was modeled on wasn't either. The trick is "productionising" the design.

I hate to say this guys but the Audi R8 The last gas powered prototype racer from audi before the deisels is about the end of the road for prototypes being pretty in a road going sense. The Bentley prototype was a handsome car a couple of the lolas have looked good but thats about it. The later Puguet and Audi racers are UGLY. Look at the fenders on the car shown the driver probably can't see anything closer than 10 feet to the front right or left. IMO Lee
