Should i go for LPG?

Evening folks.
I have been deliberating about wether to go for an LPG car for a while now. The benifits all sound good but i'm looking for some advice before i potentially make an expensive mistake.
I currently run an A4 TDI, so it's already good on fuel. i do 500-600 miles a week, and do a regular long journey of 260 miles.
I'm looking at going for a c180k or a 318i which do around the 35 mpg mark has been converted to lpg already.
So, has anyone got any figures or experience of running lpg? I've read through a lot of old posts but can't establish if i will be any better off, will a 60L tank get me through my 260 mile trip, etc, etc.
Your tips/thoughts will be very useful.

Larger the car the better the savings. Dont forget the LPG system requires an
annual service filters and a tune and "some" engines require a extra bit
a flashlube unit to lubricate the upper cylinders. although warming up on petrol
will have the same effect.

I have run several LPG Range Rovers and Discovery's all 3.5 or 3.9 V8's
and i did make significant savings on fuel costs.
I bought the cars already converted so did not have to absorb the install cost.

Larger car gives lower mpg, and whilst it will probably take a larger tank it will not fill to capacity. My experience of lpg, 2x cars RR and S80, was that the range is a hell of a lot less than any diesel. Remember when you start to run out of gas you have to start to look for a station sharpish or you will be running on petrol. And when you start up you will be on petrol too.

If you really want to save cash get a 90/100 bhp VAG diesel and run it on waste oil, 50p a litre ish.
