Faulty brake light switch?

What type of van was it? I was following a dark blue VW transporter from mottingham to chislehurst the other night that had no rear brake lights at all

This happened to me last week with a van on the M62 I think it was, none of the brake lights were working on this one as well I nearly went into the back of it when we came up to some traffic, It makes you realise you get used to brake lights quite a lot, I cant remember what company was on the side of it

Has happened to me in my works renault traffic. No rear lights at all. There was a multiplug in the passengers footwell that must have supplied the rear lights. Anyway apprentice with lanky legs and size 11's managed to knock it apart, somehow.

If it had been French I'd have said definately faulty electrics.

Doubt if it was on purpose, but who knows - nothing would surprise me. Some people simply don't give a toss

Only noticed it once in the past, was nissan micra of all things.

I make an effort to pointing out to the drivers of vehicles with defective brake lights that they're not working.

If one or two are out I'll try my best to catch up with them in traffic to tell them through an open window and depending on the circumstances I'll follow the offending vehicle until I can tell them. (Have had a few slightly worried subjects, but I am doing a good deed after all's said and done.)

This is due to having tail ended a queue of traffic and badly bending five cars at once due to the guy in front of me having hit the anchors 'big style' at 70 MPH one Friday night on the Forth Road Bridge about 20 odd years ago. Trouble was that after the fact I definitely couldn't prove his brake lights weren't working if you know what I mean.

Happened to my poor Skoda and it was the brake light switch that also caused all 3 to not illuminate.

I think I'm bordering on OCD as I usually look in the mirror to see if I can see a reflection of my brake lights on the car (or person's face if at night) when stopping for traffic lights and so I spotted the issue very quickly.

I even had a very nice Skoda driver frantically wave at me to get my attention to tell me they were all out (the same day I noticed).
