Head gasket failure?

Symptoms are slow loss of coolant with no leak apparent. Slight low engine speed miss on occasions, particularly when cold.

I've whipped the plugs out and one in particular has a reddy hue as per the photo below - the plug on the left. It's running red coolant...

Any thoughts or suggestions for further investigation before I pull the head.

Check the oil, has it gone mayonnaise-like?

No mayonaise, no other symptoms. May have to resort to a sniffer test or see what pressure the cooling system holds.
