We 're looking to book a summer holiday with the kids at possibly one of the above, however to be honest I'm a bit surprised at how expensive it is. I'm looking for suggestions as to anywhere else I can look which is ideally in Europe, lots of other kida, kids club / facilities etc, not full of the wrong type of people etc

Thomson Premier, Club Med etc are too expensive I think, any other suggestions ? Thanks

Tony

Yeah I know, however the figures I've been given to sleep in a tent for a week are a bit pricey.

Was wondering if anyone could recommend a similar set up ( lots of kids etc )

This is my field so I can offer a bit of info.
Decide where you want to go.
Choose a site in the brochure and contact them direct to rent their MH or tent to save a considerable sum.

Euro and Keycamp are owned by Holiday Breaks,a big concern.Try Canvas and also Vacansoleil.
Don't get sucked into the "it's a Yelloh site,so it must be good".In the main they are nothing more than marketing groups that the owner pays into.

For honest reviews go to www.ukcampsite.co.uk

Another similar type is Siblu, which I think you can use Club Card Vouchers on. I haven't used them so can't provide any feedback on them.

I can recommend Key Camp after a good holiday in Sardinia a couple of years ago.

Most camp sites in Europe offer accomodation. Look at the Eurocamp/Keycamp website and pick the site you like and google the name, most sites are translated and much cheaper direct.

This is definitely the way to go - my brother worked for Eurocamp for a season, and we rented a similar mobile home direct from the campsite for a fraction of the cost. Most of the sites that Eurocamp etc are bigger and have their own kids clubs/evening entertainment etc.
