Discussion
I'm looking for a set of spacers for my Defender so when it's running MT's the tyres don't rub on the radius arms when on full lock, and so I can put the alloys with road tyres off the Defender onto my 2a so when we take her to Le Mans we don't have to go all the way on Colway remoulds that wonder around like an excited puppy and don't have to change the studs on the axles (I'm a student I'm lazy)
So my question is will alloy spacers do the job as well as steel ones as there is a notable difference in price.
Thanks in advance.

In the good old days .... before you could buy spacers .... the trick was to use steel wheels from a Series 2a or 2b Forward Control land rover [not a 101]
Same wheels were fitted on 1 tonne 109's and on early 127 and 130's.
part No 569203
They have a greater offset and still available ...think Vass had some for sale recently.

All the trialers use to use them.
