The owners book for mine (its a 1996 4.2) says 350 hp and 320 lbs/ft. That would be flywheel figures and I have never had mine on the rollers.

Here is my result from to day its a 99 4.2 with 52k on it not too bad but still not as quick as my mates supra ls1 car which put out less on the rollers today on paper the cerb is faster in the real world the supra as we found out toady. His made 300bhp at the fly wheel and is 400kg heavier strange must be the flat torque curve and me not using all my revs but torque wins races as they say ??

If you are north of the border then I dont think there are many options for tuning an AJP.
There are a few options down south - TVR Power, Austec and Raceproved certainly over AJP mapping and at least one of these 3 can offer some mods to the breathing to increase a 4.2's bhp (as mapping alone wont give you much).

Cheers

Will just enjoy it this year as it's still plenty quick just hate it when you get a figure and now all i want to do is improve on it lol.

Thinking about a titanium exhaust for it it has a stainless one but every kg counts plus it's just cool as hehe

Mine had joo work on it, so a bit of work on the inlets and butterflies plus a remapping. The exhaust has ACT's tuned length manifolds and full decatted exhaust system, much lighter than the original. Power is up to 382bhp on a local rolling road (362bhp when it left Joo but it's since had new coils, leads and exhaust manifolds that were badly cracked).

I can't remember what the new torque figure is (the study is in bits and everythings boxed). I remember it was up about 20-30 ft/lbs but the big news was 90%+ of that torque banged in at 2k revs, rather than 3k before, making it so drivable. You can potter about (well, for a TVR) but still got that oomph and backfires when you want it biggrin

I can't say I notice the more power as they are quick cars anyway, but the move of the torque curve has really transformed the car.

There is not a chance a Supra with 300bhp, or 400bhp for that matter, would keep a Cerbera even in sight in a straight line. You need to really drive a Cerbera well to unleash its full potential, using almost all the revs (7k max for road IMHO) and nailing the gearchanges/ managing wheelspin. When done right, nothing this side of a Murcielago will keep it honest (or a GTR, but thats silly) - we should know, proven in competition!

In a straight line drag race at the first fighting torque I upset a monaro owner by trouncing him, when my car was still standard. He'd supercharged it, 550bhp, launch control etc. It flew off the line but I had caught him by third gear, running over the line in 4th at about 155mph smile

He'd spent more on his mods than I had on my car. The cerbera is certainly fast enough

I came from a Chimaera to a Cerbera, and for the first few weeks I was dissapointed with the performance. Then one day I got annoyed with a car that kept driving up my a$$, and I floored it, whooooooooo!!
Sit on the car with the engine off, press the accelerator down to mimic how you normally drive. Now press the accelerator all the way to the floor, it goes further than you think doesn't it, that's what you need to do.
As the above 2 posts have already said, you have to really 'drive' the cerbera, It's not a Yank V8, it's all down to the driver, get it on a decent road, get angry, and floor it, go for it!!
