To avoid the kids fart jokes over dinner I scanned the local rag, I came across this:

"Fury" over hitting a bollard whilst reversing, no doubt it would have been a baby's fault if it was hit by her whilst in a pram! Is it no win no fee advice at its finest?

I hit a small bollard in my local multi-storey and put a crack in the Boxster's nose cone. Funnily enough I accepted to myself that I had been a bit of an idiot and carried on into the shopping complex as normal...

"My wife is very distressed about the whole incident as it really wasn’t her fault.
Must have been the bollard's fault.

A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: "A member of our executive office has now contacted Mr Cope and we will be working with him to resolve the matter."
Hopefully by telling him and his wife to get fked.

What an idiot!

Would love to see Sainsbury's claim against her for damaging their bollard!

There was a story last week from a mile away in Altrincham where an 18 year old had driven into a pillar at the McDonalds drive through (pulled it from the ground) and was upset that they wanted £1000 to fix it.

It seems that contacting the press is the first port of call if you can't drive.

I clipped a bollard in my old car as it was "hidden" (of sorts) by the car going up a speed bump...

Was quite pissed off, it cost me £20 in filler and paint to put that right, but who's fault was it - mine entirely!

People need to learn personal responsibility. That car looks like a CRV or HRV, so if she can't see out of it - maybe she needs to get her eyes tested, or maybe buy something that isn't eleventy billion feet high.

You hit a fixed object, it's your fault, end of. What a clown. I hope the judge allows him to go to court just so he spends all of his benefit money on a pointless claim and it all goes into the court's pocket.

This rubbish is why our insurance is rocketing...no doubt the heffer has now got a neck brace on and is expecting 100% of her compensation from that nasty nasty bollard!!

I only hope Sanisburys stand thier ground and dont fold just to keep the media peace. What they and others NEED to do is counter claim against this level of moron! - A few high profile cases where some moron gets caught cheating/swinging the lead and fined heavily or heaven forbid a Jail sentence... then this level of vermin might think twice before calling stlaywers4u.co.uk

Shocking.

Pardon my anger, but this sort of rubbish and the 'it's not my fault' culture is what is hammering us for insurance premiums etc etc. Sainsburys are taking the flak here but the same sort of thing is happening every day, usually involving whiplash claims and clumsy drivers.

I bet if I punched her to the ground, I'd be the one to get in trouble for having stupid people in my path. Thatcher's Britain.

If people ever actually had to pay for claims like this, I don't think they would never happen.
